Popular Questions
We have a team of professional chefs with decades of experience producing meals for catering events of artisanal quality. Our executive chef, Benoit Thorey, worked in such catering organisations as Potel et Chabot Paris, Novae Traiteur Geneva, Traiteur de la Réserve Geneva.
We prioritise Swiss and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible and design our menu around seasonal availability to ensure short supply chains.
As part of our sourcing guidelines:
- Always Swiss: beef, lamb, pork, milk, eggs, butter, soy
- Poultry: mainly Swiss, occasionally sourced from France
- Cheese: Switzerland and Italy
- Vegetable oils: Swiss oils, with Mediterranean olive oil
- Vegetables: primarily Swiss and seasonal; some produce (e.g., aubergines) is sourced from Spain when out of season in Switzerland
This approach allows us to combine regional quality with culinary diversity.
When creating your order, you can filter out all allergens that must be declared under European food labelling regulations. If you subscribe, you can programme your meal plan so specific allergens are automatically excluded from your meals and add-ons. These exclusions apply to all future deliveries.
Although we carefully manage allergens in our kitchen, we cannot guarantee the complete absence of trace allergens, even if an allergen is not listed in the recipe. If you have a severe allergy or coeliac disease, we recommend consuming only products certified as “allergen-free”.
Our kitchen is not certified as allergen-free.
Serving size depends on the meal type and nutritional profile.
Balanced and vegetarian meals weigh on average 460–500g per portion and provide approximately 600–800 kcal. The higher energy range typically applies to pasta-based dishes.
Low-carb and keto meals weigh around 400g per portion and provide approximately 300–450 kcal, reflecting their reduced carbohydrate content.
We do not recommend this. Our meals are designed to be eaten fresh before the expiry date on the packets. If you cannot finish your meals before the best before date, you can store them in the freezer. It is important to defrost them slowly in your refrigerator to maintain their quality. Quick defrosting in a microwave or at room temperature is not recommended.
Once you place your order, we purchase ingredients, cook, pack and post your food delivery. That process usually takes between 4 and 7 days, 6–7 days when there is a weekend between your order and delivery. Once you decide that you would like to get our meals weekly, you can schedule your delivery on Thursdays, Wednesdays or Tuesdays. You will get an email and SMS from our delivery partners informing you about your delivery status. You also can schedule the time of delivery yourself by clicking on the link provided by our delivery partners. We want our food preparations delivery to complement your schedule.
Reducing our impact on the planet is fundamental to us. That is why we work on the preorder; this approach allows us to have ZERO food waste. 99% of our packaging is compostable, recyclable or reusable. We supply a free post label with every 4th box so that you can return ice blocks in a carton box to us. We reuse ice blocks and a carton. You can recycle a carton box together with other paper. You can put the thin wooden trays in the compost as well as the compostable vacuum bags.
We do everything to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. But if you believe these levels have not been achieved, please contact us by sending an email to service@allcook.ch or by filling in the contact form on our website to share your concerns; we will figure out what we can do to solve the issue.
